Russ Potter
After graduation in 1967, with a BA in theology and a minor in education, Russ Potter served in pastoring and management positions at Pacific Press. In 1970 he founded Concerned Communications.
In the last 30 years, as President and Publisher of The Concerned Group, Inc., Russ has been recognized as a leader in both Catholic and Protestant educational publishing. His company conducts teacher training workshops and publishes K-8 Elementary curriculum in Reading, Science, and Language Arts – serving nearly 2,000,000 students nationwide. Concerned Group also publishes educational seminars for adults and numerous best-selling books such as Sensory Secrets: How To Jump Start Learning in Children, Mindwaves, and It’s Who You Know.
Six years ago, Russ founded HisKids, Inc., a non-profit organization providing funding and family services to the underprivileged in rural areas and cities around the country. He has served as the national vice president of Adventist - Laymen's Services and Industries (ASI) and on numerous secondary and college educational boards and committees. He is a member of the La Sierra University Foundation Board and was the University's 2007 Alumni Association Alumnus of the Year.
