Epikos Church Welcomes Next Generation Leader
.
Dear Friend,

This is pretty much what we expected. We assembled the pieces, surrendered it to God, and He took it from there.

First the good news. You already know that Epikos Church is our first church patterned after the Pivotal Design. You’ll be glad to know that Epikos continues to expand in attendance, decisions for Christ, baptisms, and community impact. (All credit and honor to God!) Those of us who get to be part of it are dreadfully excited. Oh, yes, and the church is expanding financially, as well.

Which leads to the great news (break out the cymbals and tambourines): Epikos Church has just hired another full-time leader. Jono and Megan Mueller will roll into Vancouver, Washington, in the middle of June. To do what?

“I am energized at how many young people are eager to know their Creator,” Jono explains, “and I can hardly believe I’ll get paid to build a ministry for and with youth. And to do it in one of the healthiest, most creative churches anywhere is quite amazing.” If you’ve met him, you can hear Jono’s Australian drawl and picture the stocking cap above his smiling face. The young bloke hails from the outback; his wife is American. They’re moving from the Silicon Valley where Jono has served as a youth pastor.

His primary role is to lead the youth. But he’ll wear a second hat at times (over that stocking cap). Both he and Megan are ten-talent musicians. Jono has written songs for Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, and other artists. He’s recorded and toured with Endless Praise and other top Christian bands. Imagine both of them as part-time members of the Epikos worship team.

“The chance to be in an environment where I can be real and raw with people is a blessing. God's call led Megan and me to Epikos, and we can hardly wait to see how He will use us.”

And now for the totally awesome news: It can happen where you are. Step one: Trade in your pursuit of the American dream for the dream of reaching a world that desperately needs Christ. Step two: Link up with people who share your zeal. Step three: Let us know how we can help. We love creating self-determining churches that have the flexibility, freedom, and funds to prevail. And be sure to bathe every conversation, idea, and dream in prayer.

“I will be with you always,” Jesus vowed. I can’t resist urging you to put Him to the test and see what He will do through you.

Your coworker in Christ,

Ron Gladden
Directional Leader
